What is ADVANCE and how can it help promote mental health in Europe?

Mental health is one of Europe’s growing challenges, shaped by climate change, rapid digitalisation, socio-economic inequalities, migration, and an ageing population. Supporting mental wellbeing during these shifts requires more than clinical care alone. It calls for fresh thinking and innovative approaches that reach people where they are, especially those most at risk.

That’s where ADVANCE comes in. The initiative aims to strengthen mental health promotion and prevention by building evidence-based guidance and practical tools. These support the design, adaptation, implementation, evaluation, and scaling of effective digital and hybrid mental health initiatives for diverse populations across Europe.

From early life to older age, ADVANCE is helping shape mental health solutions that are inclusive, preventive, and future-focused.
