Ethics and Data Advisory Board

The Ethics and Data Advisory Board (EDAB) of ADVANCE comprises ethics and data experts advising ADVANCE project partners. Their role is to enhance, build upon, and complement existing oversight regimes by ethical and legal authorities in partner institutions and countries. The EDAB will monitor and provide expert advise on data management and all ethical issues that may arise within or as a result of ADVANCE. The EDAB will offer guidance, advice, and recommendations on four main aspects:

  • data management, protection and privacy
  • recruitment, inclusion and exclusion criteria, and informed consent procedures;
  • improvement of the project data management and ethics plans; and
  • adherence to EU regulations on ethical research trials
