Team members

 

Evaldas Kazlauskas, PhD, is a Professor of Clinical Psychology and Head of the Center for Psychotraumatology at Vilnius University, Lithuania. Prof. Kazlauskas is an immediate past president of the European Society for Traumatic Stress Studies (ESTSS) and is among the leading experts on trauma- and stress-related disorders in Europe. For over two decades, his work has been dedicated to the recognition of the effects of trauma on mental health and raising awareness of the need for evidence-based trauma care for traumatized populations. His current research is focused on the assessment and treatment of complex trauma, the development of digital interventions for stress-related disorders, and the evaluation of the effects of trauma on mental health across the lifespan.

 

 

Austeja Dumarkaite

Austeja Dumarkaite, Ph.D., is a clinical psychologist and researcher at the Center for Psychotraumatology, Institute of Psychology, Vilnius University. Her research interests include clinical psychology, psychotraumatology, and the efficacy of modern technology-based psychological interventions. Most of Austeja’s research experience includes exploring the efficacy of internet-delivered interventions in groups of people experiencing high levels of stress (youth with PTSD and complex PTSD symptoms, healthcare staff, etc.). Besides research activities, she teaches at Vilnius University and has clinical experience.

 

 

Agniete Kairyte is a PhD student and a junior researcher, with a background in clinical psychology, at the Center for Psychotraumatology, Institute of Psychology, Vilnius University, Lithuania. Her main research areas are youth mental health, stress and well-being, resilience, and evidence-based psychological help.

 

 

Paulina Zelviene PhD, is an associate professor, senior researcher, research group leader at Center for Psychotraumatology, Vilnius University, Lithuania. Paulina is a clinical psychologist, member of the Board of the Lithuanian Trauma Psychology Association (LTPA), President of the EMDR Lithuania Association, a member of the EMDR Europe Scientific Committee, and a member of the office of the Lithuanian Young Academy of Sciences (LMAJA). Her scientific interests are psychotraumatology, evidence-based treatment, and stress and resilience in adolescence.
